YUKI-SIS では、2025年2月8日（土）－22日（土）、Elizabeth Leroy (フランス)、Stefanie Andrina（スイス）による2人展を開催いたします。異なる技法で映し出される彼らの日常風景とストーリーを感じていただきたいです。

YUKI-SIS is pleased to present a two-person exhibition featuring Elizabeth Leroy (France) and Stefanie Andrina (Switzerland) from February 8 (Saturday) to 22 (Saturday), 2025.
Hope you will experience their daily scenes and stories of two artists, captured through different techniques.

Le chant du Roi - The king's song

フランスのコンピエーニュとパリを拠点に活動しているエリザベット・ルロワは、リールとヴァランシエンヌで造形芸術と舞台芸術を学んだ後、2010年舞台装飾の絵画担当としてパリにあるコメディ・フランセーズ劇場に入団。初期の頃から写真に関心を持ち、現在はミクストメディア、グラフィックと絵画を組み合わせた手法を探求しています。2012年から2021年まで、陶芸家のブリジット・タンシニ、ナタリー・ドミンゴ、キャロル・ゴールディのもとで陶芸も学びました。

今回の展覧会で展示される作品は、2023年に「The Milky Way」というシリーズで制作されたものです。私的な日常風景を撮影したイメージを重ねることで生まれるストーリーは、自然の中で育まれ、優しいまなざしから生まれたものです。

Elisabeth Leroy is based in Compiègne and Paris. After studying fine arts and performing arts in Lille and Valenciennes, she joined the Comédie-Française Theatre in 2010 as a painter for stage design. She has been interested in photography since her early years, and now she explores a technique that combines mixed media, graphic arts, and painting. From 2012 to 2021, she studied ceramics under ceramic artists Brigitte Tanchini, Nathalie Domingo, and Carol Goldie.

The works exhibited in this exhibition were created in 2023 as part of the "The　Milky Way" series. The stories that emerge from layering images of her personal everyday scenes are nurtured by nature and born from her gentle gaze.

「風景の中のビジュアルアーティストと画家」

学生時代、私は美術と舞台芸術の両方に惹かれていました。アマチュア劇団の一員であり、それが決定的な経験でした。その瞬間、私は演劇の舞台がもたらす芸術的な豊かさに気づきました。私にとって舞台作品はとても総合的な仕事であり、さまざまな才能を駆使して完成されるので、アトリエで孤独に制作するアーティストの仕事とは異なります。私は舞台美術の画家として17年間活動していますが、今でも装飾に使うさまざまな技法を探求することで、多くのインスピレーションを得ています。

不思議なことに、私は舞台用の非常に大きな作品をてがける一方で、個人の作品はとても小さなフォーマットで制作することが多いのです。このスケールの違いから、劇場のミニチュア版を再現する、というアイディアが生まれました。部隊のさまざまなレイヤー（つまりプロセニアム、中舞台、背景舞台）と同じように、私の作品ではプリントしたアセテートフィルムのレイヤーや背景が同じ役割を果たしています。最近になって、この類似性に気づくようになりました。

こうして生み出されたイメージは、物語を語ります。それは私が描いた物語であり、見る人がその中に読み取る物語でもあります。そして、その解釈は見る人によって異なるかもしれません。

最後に言えることは、私のアトリエ内での制作活動と、大規模な共同プロジェクトで装飾を担当する活動は、互いに強く結びついており、互いに依存しあっているということです。

“Visual artist and painter in scenary”

When I was a student, I was both attracted to the fine arts and the performing arts. I was part of an amateur theater company and it was a defining experience. At this moment, I began to see the artistic richness that offered the theater setting. A show is for me a very complete work, calling on many different talents, it is always a common work, unlike the work of the solitary artist in his studio. I have been a painter for scenographic creation for 17 years now and I still found a lot of inspiration in exploring the different techniques we use in decor.

Curiously, while I work in a very large format for the stage, my personal artistic work is often in very small format. I like this change of scale, the idea of recreating a miniature theater, with its different plans ( proscenium, middle stage and background stage). My printed acetate film layers and backgrounds work the same way in my images. I have only recently become aware of these similarities. The image thus created also tells a story, the one I have written and that the viewer reads in it, which can be different for each.

Finally, I can say today that my artistic activity, within my studio, and that my activity as a decorator on large-scale collective projects are strongly linked, even interdependent.

「私は2023年に『The Milky Way』というアートワークシリーズを作りました。このシリーズでは、滑らかで“ミルキー”な雰囲気を作りたかったのです。私は完全には透明ではないアセテートフィルムを使って写真を印刷し、背景には白いプレキシガラスを使用しました。

2011年に、画像の別の次元を作り出すというアイデアでアセテートフィルムとさまざまな背景を使って実験を始めました。それ以来、私は劇場のデコレーターとしての仕事にインスパイアされて、多くの異なる素材を試してきました。最初は鏡を使い、次に金属の葉、和紙、ガラスに絵を描く技法を試しました。各アートワークは物語を語っており、その中には非常に個人的なものもあります。

私の写真はすべて日常生活から抽出されたものです。タイトルの中には特定の瞬間に関連しているものもあります。例えば、「The world's tiniest kiss」というタイトルは、娘が私に優しく軽やかにキスをする際の表現から来ています。このアートワークは、私にとっては非常に小さな行為の中にある愛を反映しています。

The Milky Way

"I created the artworks serie The Milky Way in 2023. For this serie, I wanted to create a smooth and "milky" atmosphere. I used acetate film that were not completely transparent to print my pictures and a white plexiglass for the background.

I started to experiment with acetate film and different backgrounds in 2011 with the idea of creating another dimension of the image. Since this time, I have experimented with many different materials inspired by my work as a decorator in a theater. I first used mirrors, then metal leaves, silk paper and painting for glass. Each artwork is telling a story, sometimes very personal.

All my pictures are extracted from my daily life. Some titles are connected to specific moments, for example the title The world's tiniest kiss is an expression of my daughter when she kisses me with smoothness and lightness. This artwork reflects for me the love in the really small acts.

« 光を扱う... 私は、写真や絵画の作品の中に内在する光を作り出したいと思っています。見る人の視線を、あいまいなもの、戸惑いの中に誘い込み迷わせ、そこで物事の表面の背後にある起源や出発点を探して、真実を見つけてもらいたいのです。私が創り出すイメージは夢と無意識を豊かに映し出す鏡です。それらは時に知覚できる範囲の限界に達します。見る人それぞれが個人的でユニークな解釈をしてくださればよいのです。 »

« Capturing Light » I strive to bring out the light inherent in my photographs and paintings.I want to guide the viewer’s gaze, leading them into a moment of hesitation and confusion, allowing them to wander within the image. In doing so, I hope they will search for the origins and sources hidden behind the surface of objects, ultimately discovering the truth. The images I create are reflections of my dreams and subconscious. At times, they extend to the limits of what can be perceived by the intellect. However, I leave it to each viewer to interpret them in their own personal and unique way.

【ステファニー・アンドリーナ　Stefanie Andrina】

ステファニー・アンドリナ・グリヒティングは、1994年スイス生まれ。スイスのキュブリスを拠点に活動する油彩画家、そして彫刻家です。

彼女は学生時代からアートを学び、バーゼルでの教員養成課程でもアートに力を注ぎました。その後、スペイン・バルセロナの「BAA Barcelona Art Academy」でドローイング、ペインティング、彫刻プログラムを修了しました。

現在、彼女は油彩、彫刻制作に取り組んでおり、ランドクアルトの学校で教えています。彼女のスタジオでは年に数回、時には週ごとにワークショップを開催しています。

Stefanie Andrina Grichting is an oil painter and sculptor based in Küblis, Switzerland.

She has studied art since her school days, focused on art during her teacher training in Basel and graduated from the Drawing,

Painting and sculpture program at the BAA 2022,Barcelona Art Academy in Spain.

She is currently working on a series of oil paintings and figurative sculptures. She also teaches at the school in Landquart. In her studio she gives annual and sometimes weekly workshops.

ステファニーの住むスイス、キューブリスは、自然豊かな場所で、まさにアルプスの山岳地にあります。この町に住む友人夫婦を訪ねた時に紹介されたのがステファニーでした。彼女のアトリエ件ワークショップスタジオに訪問すると、たくさんの油彩作品、彫刻作品が並んでいました。平面を描くが、同じように彫刻も制作するのはなぜか？と尋ねたところ、「みんなそう聞くのだけど、私にとっては自然なことで、特別ではないの。どちらも好きなの」と答えてくれました。

Stephanie’s home, Kublis in Switzerland, is a place rich in nature, nestled in the heart of the Alpine mountains. It was when I visited a couple of friends who live in this town that I was introduced to Stephanie. When I visited her studio, which also serves as a workshop, I found many of her oil paintings and sculptures displayed. Curious as to why she creates both paintings and sculptures, I asked her, "Why do you do both?" She replied, "Everyone asks me that, but for me it’s natural, it’s not special. I love both equally."

In her work, she focuses mainly on figurative subjects, engaging with them on a more expressive level, particularly through the aspects of landscape and animal painting. Stefanie’s work is of high quality and reflects a sensuous, earthiness, and timeless beauty.

She creates art that deeply touches the viewer, establishing a connection with the material and the moment. Her work conveys a sense of stability and strength, as well as clarity and delicacy. It shows a deep appreciation for the natural forms of the world.

彼女のスタイルは、印象派リアリズムとしてよく表現されます。テーマは多岐にわたり、日常の一コマ、たとえば仕事中のシーンやレジャーの瞬間などが描かれることもあります。また、時にはより抽象的で夢のようなテーマにも挑戦しています。ポートレートも彼女の作品の重要な要素です。さらに、彼女は写真を参考にすることもあります。

平面と同様に制作される彫刻作品が、彼女の平面作品を制作することにおいて大きな影響をあたえているといえます。細部へのこだわりと完璧を追求する姿勢が、彼女の作品全体に表れています。

Her style is best described as Impressionist Realism. The subjects vary; they can be everyday moments, like a simple scene at work or during leisure time. Sometimes, she explores more abstract or dreamlike subjects. Her portraits are also a key part of her work.

She also incorporates photographic references.

It can be said that her sculptural works, created in the same way as her two-dimensional pieces, have a significant influence on the creation of her flat artworks.

Her attention to detail and dedication to perfection is evident in every aspect of her work.
